SAN DIEGO INDIVISIBLE FIGHTS TO STOP GRAHAM-CASSIDY BILL

SAN DIEGO – Over the weekend, San Diego Indivisible facilitated more than 25,000 phone calls and texts to voters in Alaska, Arizona, West Virginia, Colorado and Nevada. San Diegans asked them to contact their Republican senators and oppose the Graham-Cassidy health care bill.

Constituents of Rep. Darrell Issa (CA-49) protest the Graham-Cassidy health care bill and Republican plans to push through a $1.5 trillion tax cut under budget reconciliation. Wealthy Americans like Issa will receive huge tax cuts if health care funding is redistributed to top Republican donors and other members of the 1%. Estimates suggest that Issa could personally pocket $1- 3 million per year.

As part of a national day of civic engagement, Indivisible volunteers support voter registration drives to assist CA-50 students in becoming new voters.
