SAN DIEGO COUNTY INDIVISIBLE PROTESTS TRUMPCARE VOTE

WARNS REPUBLICAN CONGRESS OF PAYBACK IN 2018 ELECTION

May 8, 2017

MEDIA ADVISORY

MAY 5, 2017

SAN DIEGO – San Diego County Indivisible groups host two protests today of the Republican House tax cut bill that will deny access to health care for millions of Americans and make coverage unaffordable for millions more with pre-existing conditions. This immoral AHRA legislation will shift funding that now pays for Medicaid and subsidizes premiums into a massive tax cut for the wealthy. “TrumpCare” will cause widespread suffering and bankruptcy, and will be a death sentence for fellow Americans.

Indivisible intends that this legislation will be a political death sentence for the Republican majority in Congress and the careers of Republicans who voted for it.
