POLITICALLY DIVERSE RAMONA WOMEN SEEK COMMON GROUND

REPUBLICANS, DEMOCRATS, TEA PARTY, PROGRESSIVES, INDEPENDENTS TO BREAK BREAD & “BREAK THE BUBBLE”

October 14, 2017

MEDIA ADVISORY

OCTOBER 13, 2017

RAMONA – A diverse group of women active in the community of Ramona will gather together to break bread, to get to know one another and, for one afternoon, pop the political “bubbles” that keeps so many Americans locked into their respective tribes.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 15

4 – 6 PM

“Simply Sips & Smiles” Potluck Social

Rotunda at Country Estates 16911 Gunn Stage Road Ramona 92065

Sponsored by the nonpartisan grassroots group Indivisible Ramona, the purely social potluck aims to connect women who care about their community. By getting to know one another on a personal level, it may be possible to counter the demonization of “others” who strongly disagree on policy, and find common ground outside of politics.

As more Americans segregate and filter – choosing to live near those who share their political beliefs and consuming media that affirm their views – the Ramona experiment returns to a past when neighbors were connected by love of community.
